The Dardanelle Lady Sand Lizards (4-2) opened up 4-4A conference play at home with a 4-2 win over the Pottsville Lady Apaches. In the top of the first inning, Savana Rhinehart (2-2) walked two Lady Apaches before striking out one and causing two groundouts. Savanah Gosnell got the start on the mound for Pottsville and struck out one and caused two groundouts to end the inning.

Dardanelle 7th grade wins the Dardanelle 7th grade invitational. Dardanelle hosted Two Rivers, Dover, Lamar, Danville, and Atkins last Saturday and came out victorious. In the first round the Lizards matched up against Danville and won 24-7. Clayton Potter had 13 for Dardanelle in the win. In the semi-finals, Dardanelle beat Two Rivers 22-4. Blake Chambers led the team with 8 points. In the finals, Dardanelle squared off against Lamar and won 25-10. Kobe Espinoza had 7 and Blake Chambers had 6 in the win. Dardanelle completest their season an undefeated 11-0. "This group continued to get better throughout the year. There is a very good mixture of guards who can handle, pass, and shoot the ball, and some bigs that can score with their back to the basket. This group has a very good skill set for the 7th grade and have a bright future if they continue to get better. I was proud of what they were able to accomplish this year. "
